Jharsuguda: The mutilated body of a female leopard was recovered on Thursday from a Machida Gramya Jungle under Lakhanpur Block of Jharsuguda District.
“Local villagers of the Machida Village had spotted the dead body of the leopard on Thursday morning, after which they informed us , our team reached the spot, the leopard had sustained injuries all over the body and her nails and teeth’s were missing. The dead body of the leopard will be sent for the post mortem after which an inquiry will be conducted in this matter” said Jharsuguda Divisional forest officer (DFO) Arjun Behera.
