Jharsuguda: A 32 years old accountant working with Bhusan Steel and Power Limited, Thelkoli was killed after a truck (HR – 55 B 6900) hit his motorcycle from behind near Vedanta Railway Crossing on Thursday afternoon. The victim was identified as Manoranjan Rout, a resident of Balasore, he was on his way to office, when this accident took place.
As per his office colleague, being a devote of Shirdi Sai and being Thursday he had left for Shirdi Sai Mandir situated at Jhanda Chowk from Office during Lunch Hour . While coming back to office at around 2.30 P.M., this incident took place where a truck from behind had hit his motorcycle from behind and had dragged his motorcycle for at least 500 meters. Due to this even the truck caught fire and motorcycle was completely burnt.
Following the incident, Manoranjan fell on the ground. Passer-by immediately took him to the Jharsuguda Dist. Head Quarters Hospital where doctors declared him dead. The Police on receiving the information had reached the spot and had informed the fire tender which rushed the spot and put off the fire. However, the driver of the bus and the helper of the truck managed to escape, said the police.
