Municipality Election to be held on November 22nd
Announcement of elections of 22 urban local bodies (ULBs) in nine Western Odisha districts which were postponed due to the agitation by lawyers demanding permanent High Court bench in the region, which would be held on November 22, but major political parties of the district have still left their decision with the CAC.
Jharsuguda BJD Senior Leader Sandeep Awasthy said that, �We welcome the decision, the demand of CAC was fulfilled by our CM Naveen Pattnaik by recommending the Centre to set up a permanent bench of the Orissa high court, which was also welcomed by CAC and we are hopeful that this time democratic process will not be obstructed by any cause or fact.�
