Jharsuguda: A public grievance camp held in Jharsuguda Municipality for the first time on Monday under the chairmanship of Collector Aboli Sunil Narwane. SP Smit P. Parmar, Deputy District Collector Kishore Chandra Swaymen, District Chief Medical and Public Health Officer Dr. Dolamani Patel, Executive Officer Chandramani Swaymen, and other district-level officials were present at the camp.
A total of 83 complaints were heard at the camp, of which 7 were collective and 76 were individual. The collective demands heard included the electrification of 90 families in Mahadev Pada and Birua Basti in Bandbahal, the construction of a community hall in Maja HarijanPada in Ward No. 20, the construction of an anganwadi house in Itabhati, the construction of a hostel in Brajrajnagar Town High School, and the overall development of Brajarajnagar by the Brajarajnagar Development Forum.
Individual grievances heard at the camp related to the provision of ration cards, drinking water, sanitation, and accommodation. Three people were given 22,000 rupees from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, and two people were given allowances at the camp. Deputy Collector Damim Ping and Harmendra Bhoi were also present at the camp.
The camp was a success and helped address the grievances of the people. The officials assured the people that their complaints would be looked into and resolved in a timely manner.
