Jharsuguda: An Inter State Gang was held by Jharsuguda Railway Police yesterday late night. RPF Police officials had to struggle to get hold of all of them. These four men identified as Binay Singh (19 yrs), Manoj Mondal (25yrs), Girdhari Mondal (33yrs) and Ram lal Mondal (32yrs) belonged to Jamtara Village in Jharkhand. Police has seized 30 thousand cash along with 3 mobiles and 28 seductive pills strip (i.e. Activan 2mg).
According to the RPF Police Officials, among these four one Manoj Mondal was the main leader of this gangs. RPF had been looking out for him for last two months but unable to trace him as he and his gang members usually change trains from one station to other and used to travel on tickets of different cities.
However, Yesterday CIB Team Rourkela who was on regular check up identified Manoj Mondal who was being waiting to board train at Jharsuguda Station. With the help of Jharsuguda RPF Police officials they managed to catch all four members of the gang.
The Modus operandi of this gang was to make passenger comfortable with their friendly gesture and talks and then they offer Cream biscuits mixed with seductive drugs and use to flee away with their belongings.
These gang had an record of earlier crimes as follows
1. On 10th May 2012 Train No. 58162 Jharsuguda – Tata Passenger
2. On 24th July 2012 Train No. 18109 Jammu Tawi Express
3. On 1st August 2012 Train No. 12811 LTT- Hatia
4. On 6th August Train No. 58131 Rourkela Puri Passenger
Jharsuguda RPF OIC Mr. Raj Kumar Singh along with his D.K. Singh , M Khuya , Consatable C.L. Shah, Constable R.K. Ekka with Rourkela CIB Team B.C. Pusty , ASI Jayant Singh , R.K. Tiwari , H.K. Singh and R.G. Dal Behera were among the team who caught this gang.
