Odisha Health Minister Naba Kishor Das & Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari submits a memorandum to Civil Aviation Minister and Civil Aviation Secretary demanding more flight service at VSS Airport.

Jharsuguda :  On 27th October, Odisha Health Minister Naba Kishore Das and MP Suresh Pujari Jharsuguda met Civil aviation secretary and specifically discussed on how to improve Veer Surendra Sai Airport.

In this discussion, Odisha Health Minister Naba Kishor Das and MP Suresh Pujari said that due to irregular flight service and cancellation of Spicejet airlines, the people of Western Odisha and Jharsuguda are suffering a lot.  As this is the second airport of Odisha which was inaugurated by Prime Minister along with Odisha Chief Minister of Odisha and local MLA and MP was inaugurated.  This airport had brought hope and happiness for the economic development of this region. In this regard, even few days before, Bargarh MP Suresh pujari along with Odisha Health Minister Naba Kishore Das and Balangir Rajya Sabha MP Bishi had met Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and had discussed over various issue of VSS Airport. During this met, they also demanded to bring other airlines to operate from this airport.

Civil Aviation Secretary had immediately asked the departmental officers and CEO of SpiceJet to address this issue. Additionally, Odisha Health Minister Naba Kishor Das said that, “We have requested Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to intervene and with joint initiative between State and Central Government to introduce various other domestics flight operator to run flight service from VSS Airport.”
