Jharsuguda too joins in the 2-days nationwide strike by AITUC
Jharsuguda: Members of trade unions protesting against high prices, unemployment and the labour policies had joined in the 2 days nationwide strike called in by AITUC.
Various Schools, Banks along with transport sectors were hit by this strike. Workers in the various Coal Mines of Brajrajnagar have also joined in this strike.
Even the Banks employees and LIC Employees had also joined the protest. All the banks have been close in this regard.
Maheswar Barik of AITUC has said that “This Protest is mainly against the repeated increase of princes on the necessary commodities Petrol, Diesel, kerosene etc. We are also been protesting against the introduction of FDI in the retail space where central government is trying to run a bulldozer over the retailers. Till now this 2-days strike has been successful as all the shops and transports along with banks have been closed and I assure you that this 2 – days strike would be successfully protested peacefully.”
