District Foundation Day and Festival ‘Dulduli’ Preparatory Meeting

Jharsuguda: A preparatory meeting was held in connection with the upcoming District Foundation Day and District Festival “Dulduli-2026.” The meeting was chaired by Collector and Chairman of the District Cultural Council, Kunal Motiram Chavan.
Present at the meeting were Additional District Magistrate (General) Brajabandhu Bhoee, Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Kishore Chandra Swain, Sub-Collector Sabyasachi Panda, and other officials.
During the meeting, the Collector sought the cooperation of all stakeholders in successfully organizing the Foundation Day and the festival, emphasizing the importance of preserving and promoting local art and culture.
District Cultural Officer Ajay Jena provided the introductory briefing, while Bimalendu Bhol presented the income and expenditure report from the previous year’s festival.
As in previous years, the District Foundation Day will be celebrated on January 1, followed by the Dulduli Festival from January 1 to 5 at field. Alongside the festival, a Pallishree Mela (rural fair) will also be organized.
It has been decided that one day of the festival will be managed entirely by women. Members present shared their suggestions to ensure the successful conduct of the event.
Each evening, cultural programs featuring folk and classical performances by artists from local, state, and national levels will be presented.
Furthermore, it was decided to hold separate meetings of the respective committees involved for the effective implementation of various activities under the festival.
