OPGC Conducts awareness programme on health, hygiene and environment protection for Tilia school children
Jharsuguda :�In continuation of the initiatives to improve the health, hygiene and environment in the periphery villages, OPGC conducted an awareness programme on �Health, Hygiene & Environment Protection� at Tulsi Sahu High School in Tilia village today.� More than 350 students of Tulsi Sahu High School and Nodal Upper Primary School in Tilia were covered under this programme. To begin with a poster & slogan-writing competition on the theme of health, hygiene and environment protection was organised in Senior (Class 7th to 10th) and Junior (Class 1st to 6th) categories. All the 350 students, both boys and girls, participated enthusiastically in the competition. Top three winners of each category were felicitated with prizes by OPGC authority.
As the next event, house-keeping & plantation was organised. OPGC CSR team, members of ITPS ladies club, school managing committee, teachers, and school children performed cleaning of school and hostel premises and planted saplings inside the campus.
In the afternoon, an orientation programme on health, hygiene and environment protection was held for the school children. Chief Medical officer of ITPS hospital Dr. Bijaylal Biswal counselled the students on the health & hygiene, common diseases and their remedies.
Members of OPGC CSR team Dr. Dilip Sebak, Mr Manbodh Padhan, Ms Madhumita Prasad, Mr Parbinder Singh, Mr Abani Nayak and Mr Sashi Bhusan Dash organised the event with the help of ITPS ladies club members Ms Alok Nandini Rath, Ms Nibedita Priyadarsini, Ms Jashobanti Choudhury Ms Nirupama Behera , Ms Jyoshna Nayak and Ms Sarmistha Sahu.
