IB Thermal : Students of DAV Public School, ITPS, Banharpali were introduced with a new method of learning with the use of smart technology. Director (Operations) of OPGC Manas Ranjan Rout inaugurated the use of this technology at a special event held today at 10 am in the School itself. It is an e-learning and school management software system named “Tata Class Edge” that enables Indian schools to improve operational efficiency and student interaction. The application provides total support to teachers, students, and their parents so that everyone gets access to a wholesome learning experience. In this school, which is run by OPGC in its IB Thermal Power Station campus, all 15 classrooms from Nursery to Class-12 were fitted with this flat panel LED TV-based Smart Class system which is the first of its kind to be used in Western Odisha.
Representatives of the technology partner Tata Class Edge and trained teachers of DAV Public School introduced the features of this smart technology to the Director (Operation) and senior officers of OPGC present on this occasion. The director (Operation) then interacted with students by visiting classrooms to get their responses with respect to learning with this new method. He advised the teachers and students to make full use of this new technology to enhance their learning experience and maximize output.
Among teachers, school staff and senior officials of OPGC, Plant Manager Mr. Sudhakar Swain, Head (HR & Admin) Dr. Ratikant Dash, G.M. (Finance) Mr. Santosh Sarangi, and Principal Mr. Prashant Hota were present on this occasion.
