Jharsuguda: Newly elected Rajya Sabha Member Dilip Ray received a grand welcome at Jharsuguda Railway Station on Thursday morning upon his arrival from Bhubaneswar by the Vande Bharat Express.
A large number of supporters, BJP members, and local residents gathered at the station to greet Rai and extend their best wishes for his new role in the Rajya Sabha. The atmosphere was celebratory, with slogans and cheers marking his arrival.
Later, a procession was taken out from the railway station to the bus stand in Jharsuguda town, drawing significant public participation.
Speaking to media persons, Ray expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and said that Jharsuguda holds a special place for him. “Jharsuguda is my home. Along with Rourkela, several development works need to be undertaken, and I will work towards that vision,” he said.
