Vedanta Aluminum Hosts Students from IIM Sambalpur at Its Mega Aluminum Plant in Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda Vedanta Aluminum, India’s largest aluminum producer, recently hosted students from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur as part of its Campus Connect initiative. This visit offered the students a unique opportunity to explore Vedanta’s state-of-the-art operations and gain insights into the aluminum manufacturing process, which supplies high-quality aluminum to over 60 countries. They also learned how sustainable businesses are run on a global scale.
An on-wheel tour of the facility, led by experienced professionals, gave the students a firsthand look at cutting-edge machinery and advanced processes in action. They also observed the rigorous safety protocols and world-class practices that underline Vedanta’s commitment to operational excellence. The visit concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students engaged with Vedanta’s leadership team on various topics, including career opportunities, industry trends, and the importance of sustainable business practices in the aluminum sector.
