TRL Krosaki receives Golden Peacock Corporate Social Responsibility Award for the year 2021

Jharsuguda: Belpahar based TRL Krosaki Refractories Limited won the coveted “Golden Peacock Corporate Social Responsibility Award for the year 2021”. The company’s application for the award was selected in the Refractories Industry Category for the impact it has created in society through its Corporate Social Responsibility activities. Priyabrata Panda, Managing Director, TRL Krosaki received the award from Union Minister of State for  Parliamentary Affairs and Culture, Arjun Ram Meghwal,   in a special award function organised on 03.06.2022 at Hotel Le Meridian, New Delhi. Dr. Tarapada Dash, Executive Vice President (Corporate Services) accompanied Panda while receiving the award. Eminent personalities like Dr. V. K. Agnihotri, IAS (Retd.), Director-General, Golden Peacock Awards Secretariat and Lt. Gen. J. S. Ahluwalia, PVSM (retd.), President, Institute Of Directors were also present on the dais during the award function.

This year, over 496 Companies applied for the annual Golden Peacock Awards. Out of which, after careful scrutiny, 176 applications were shortlisted for final selection through a 3 tier Assessment Process. The final cut-off of 80 per cent was applied universally. The applicant scoring the highest, among each of the respective Industrial Sectors, was finally recommended to the Jury for final selection. The Jury was formed under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Justice M. N. Venkatachaliah, former Chief Justice of India and former Chairman, National Human Rights Commission of India and National Commission for Constitution of India Reforms.

Organisations like Amazon, Gas Authority of India Limited, Ultratech Cement, L & T Technology Services, Odisha Mining Corporation, Reliance Industries Limited, Godrej Properties, JSW Steel, etc. have participated in the event.

Dr. Tarapada Dash, Sr. Vice President (Corporate Services) congratulated and thanked all the stakeholders on this achievement.

Corporate Social Responsibility has been a focused area of TRL Krosaki since its inception. The company aims to impactful CSR Projects in the communities living around its operations who are the key communities for the company. It is noteworthy to mention here that, the company is one of the few companies in the country which spends more than the minimum legal mandate in CSR.
