Happy birthday Ayushmann Khurrana: 6 unconventional roles played by the actor

Actor Ayushmannn Khurrana doesn’t need any introduction. An accomplished actor and a National Award winner. Currently, he is considered as one of the versatile actors of the current generation. Born on September 14, 1984, he debuted in the Bollywood industry in 2012 with Shoojit Sircar’s film Vicky Donor. Apart from his acting talent, Khurrana is also a phenomenal singer, exceptional anchor, and a poetry performer. He also won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer for the track titled Pani Da Rang of his debut film, Vicky Donor. 

He is married to his longtime girlfriend, Tahira Kashyap, and the couple is blessed with two children. As he turns 36 years old, lets us look back into his filmography from the middle-class dreamer to a star in Bollywood, winning millions of hearts with his enchantments and acting.

 Vicky Donor (2012) 

Ayushman made his acting debut in 2012 with Shoojit Sircar’s romantic comedy Vicky Donor, co-starring Annu Kapoor, and Yami Gautam. It was also the production debut of actor John Abraham. His role in the film was a sperm donor. His performance was so notable and unique that at the Filmfare Awards ceremony, Khurrana was awarded two trophies for his Best Male Debut and Best Male Playback Singer for the song ‘Pani da.’

 

Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017)

Chirag (Ayushmann) doesn’t reveal his identity and uses his friend, Pritam Vidrohi (Rajkumar Rao), as a personality to interact with the girl (Biti, Kriti Sanon) as he belives the person whom he loves(Biti) may reject him. The trio combination of Ayushmann, Kriti, and Rajkumar is a worth watch.

Andhadhun (2018)

The movie assuredly one of the diverse films in the year 2018 but also the performance of every star actor was phenomenal. Ayushman plays the role of a blind piano player pretending to be visually-impaired, caught in a fraud, and witnesses the murder of a former film actor. He uses his instinct to get rid of a mess and chase his dream to become a successful piano artist.

Article 15 (2019)

The actor went out of the box this time and played the role of a cop. The story revolves around a castism in a city at Uttar Pradesh, where two girls are being hanged as a demand to raise their salary by just RS2 and was also from a lower caste.

Bala (2019)

The actor wins the hearts of the audience yet again with his dynamic acting in Bala. He played a young man who deals with baldness and tries every single method to grow his hair. The moral of the story was to self-love, which the people nowadays have forgotten it. 

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (2020)

The striking script with the performance of Ayushmann made the movie much more memorable. This is the first time; a Bollywood movie was made in support of the LGBT Community. A homosexual man who is ready to face- off with anyone for the sake of his boyfriend.
