Jharsuguda: A 25 years old woman and her 4 years daughter were allegedly burnt to death by her husband on Sunday night at Murkhadura village under Katikela Gram Panchayat of Jharsuguda District.
The victims were identified as Pankajini Kishan (25yrs) and her daughter Jyotsna Kishan (4yrs).
As per the police sources, accused Binod Kishan (28yrs), resident of Murkhadura Village and her wife Pankajini Kishan had been married for last 5 years but use to quarrel often, and on Sunday night, the couple had an heated argument and after which around 9.30 P.M. neighbors saw fire coming out , they immediately rushed and opened the door of Binod�s House and saw that he was standing helplessly with his youngest one and half year son while her wife was burnt completely. Meanwhile the family members of Binod who were sleeping next door also rushed and immediately took both Pankajini and Jyotsna to the Jharsuguda District Headquarter Hospital, but due to severe burn injuries, both were referred to VSS Medical, Burla but even doctors of Burla referred both the victims to Rourkela. But on way back both Joytsana and Pankajini died.
However police is suspecting the involvement of Binod in the crime but still the police are interrogating to find out the exact cause of the incident.
�We have sent the bodies of the deceased for Post mortem and seized Kerosene Container and Bed cot. We have also preserved the spot for the investigation purpose. We are suspecting the involvement of Binod Kishan and have detained him for further investigation.� said Badmal IIC P.K. Patnaik
