Jharsuguda: The PG Department of Commerce of Laxminarayan College, Jharsuguda, under the banner of Vanijya Parish, organised a Tally Boot Camp and Tally Commerce Aptitude Test (TCAT) on Friday in collaboration with Tally Education, Pathshala Institute and Nex-Gen Coaching and Computer.
The programme was organised with the objective of providing students with practical exposure to Tally and creating awareness about emerging career opportunities in accounting, finance and commerce.
Mr. Malay Sarkar, Regional Manager, Tally Education and Distribution Services Pvt. Ltd., was the chief speaker. In his interactive session, he highlighted the evolution of Tally, its practical applications in the modern business environment and the growing demand for Tally-skilled professionals. He also apprised students of the career opportunities available through industry-oriented training and certification.
Mr. Parv Poddar, Director, Pathshala Institute, motivated students to appear for the TCAT and pursue Tally certification, emphasising the importance of developing practical and employability-oriented skills alongside academic qualifications.
In a significant step towards strengthening industry-academia collaboration, Laxminarayan College, Jharsuguda, is scheduled to sign an MoU with Pathshala Institute, an authorised provider of Tally certification courses, shortly. The proposed MoU is aimed at providing students with greater opportunities for professional training, skill development and industry-recognised certification.
Principal Dr. Sumanta Kumar Patel, Dr. Gitarani Dixit, Reader in Chemistry, and Mrs. Pooja Shah, Head of the PG Department of Commerce, motivated the students by specifying the programme’s importance. Faculty members of the Commerce Department, including Dr. Sriyalaxmi Panda and Shaik Azhar Iqbal, were also present.
Miss Sonali Samaria moderated the programme, while Miss Swagatika Barik proposed the vote of thanks.
A large number of students participated enthusiastically in the programme. The boot camp and TCAT provided students with valuable exposure to the practical relevance of Tally and the professional opportunities associated with industry-oriented skills and certification.
