National Award for Manufacturing Competitiveness (2025–26) in GOLD category

Jharsuguda: TRL Krosaki Refractories Limited has been awarded the National Award for Manufacturing Competitiveness (2025–26) in GOLD category by International Research Institute for Manufacturing (IRIM). The company won this coveted award in its first attempt. The award has been received by Mr. Vishal Sahu, Vice President (Operations) and Mr. Ambarish Ghosh, Sr. General Manager (Maintenance) in a special award ceremony organised by IRIM at Hotel ITC Maratha, Mumbai on 17.07.2026. distinguished personalities like Mr. Rakesh Shukla, Group Head QHSE Suzlon Energy, India, Mr. Jyoti Prakash, Vice President (Supply Chain), Castrol India, Mr. Rajesh Deshpande, Principal Consultant, IRIM, Mr. Sharad Goel, Director, Plant Operations, Abbott, etc. were on the dais during the prize giving ceremony.
Prominent industries like JSW Steel, Tata Motors, Hindalco Industries, Jindal Steel, ABB India, Nippon Paints, Suzlon Energy, etc. have participated for receiving the award.
A stringent multi layered process is adopted by International Research Institute for Manufacturing (IRIM) to award the company. A team of assessors conducted a structured evaluation of the manufacturing facility and the company’s application. The assessment focused on manufacturing competitiveness rather than only compliance or financial results. The manufacturing facility of the plant was physically verified by a team of accessors. The facility was assessed on multiple dimensions like, Manufacturing strategy, Product quality, Productivity, Supply chain efficiency, Innovation, Digital maturity, Workforce development, Operational excellence and Future readiness and sustainability initiatives. After the site assessment and validation, the company was rated with Gold Category which is the highest rating based on its ability to develop and implement competitive manufacturing strategies.
Mr. Prashant Kumar Naik, Managing Director, TRL Krosaki and senior leadership of the company congratulated team TRL Krosaki. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Naik express his happiness for winning the award on the very first attempt. Further, Mr. Naik hoped that, the knowledge sharing and engagement with the manufacturing experts of IRIM during their site visit would help team TRL Krosaki strengthen its processes further and drive continuous improvement across its manufacturing operations.
