Science meets spirituality at IMA CME on World Health Day in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda : The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Jharsuguda and Sundargarh branches, in association with Dr Shakti and Dr Ipsita Skin-Fertility Institute, Bargarh, organised a CME and scientific programme on the occasion of World Health Day 2026 at a private hotel conference on April 7the evening
The event, themed “Science Meets Spirituality,” featured a series of academic sessions by eminent medical professionals. Dr S J Patel, secretary of IMA, spoke on “Mental Health – A Priority in Modern Medicine,” highlighting the growing need to address psychological well-being.
Dr Shakti Kumar Tripathy delivered a talk on the “Role of Artificial Intelligence in Reproductive Medicine,” underlining how emerging technologies are transforming fertility care. Dr R K Joshi, president of IMA Jharsuguda, discussed “Physical Health – A Holistic Approach,” while Dr Ipsita Debata elaborated on “Aesthetic Medicine: Emerging Trends & Clinical Applications.”
A key highlight of the programme was a spiritual discourse by Ananya Didi of Braj Gopika Dham on the “Spiritual Aspects of Health,” emphasising the importance of harmony between body, mind and soul.
The programme was graced by chief guest Gundala Reddy Raghavendra, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Jharsuguda, along with senior members of the medical fraternity.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of various social organisations, including Lions Club, Rotary Club, JCI, senior citizens’ groups, Chamber of Commerce, Marwari Mahila Samiti, CA Association, airport authorities, OSAP officials, SBI representatives and members of the press.
The programme concluded with a strong message advocating the integration of scientific advancements with spiritual wisdom for achieving comprehensive healthcare and overall well-being.
