Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda Fire Service conducted Civil Defense Day Demonstration on Saturday as a part of Civil Defense Day. About 10 Fire Department Officials participated on a mock rescue at Jharsuguda Laxmi Narayan College.
Aims and objective of Civil Defense was discussed in an Awareness meeting was conducted for the students and Volunteers at Conference hall of Laxmi Narayan College, in which Dr. Sudhanshu Purohit , Principal of Jharsuguda Laxmi Narayan College, N.C.C. Naval Wing’s Uttam Charan Hota and Army Wing’s Manas Acharya along with Asst. Fire Officer , Jharsuguda Dist. Circle S.P. Kindo were present.
The Fire Officials had displayed a Mock drill in how to rescue injured people by deploying rescue operation such as tow parallel rope, sliding ladder and other methods.
