Jharsuguda: TRL Krosaki Refractories Limited won the Runners up Trophy of Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Social Impact Award 2026. The company’s application for the award was selected in the Large Industry Category for the impact it has created in the society through its Corporate Social Responsibility activitiesin the areas of Health, Hunger, Poverty and Sanitation in Lakhanpur Block of Jharsuguda District, Odisha.Dr. Santosh Kumar Mishra, General Manager (PR & CSR) and Mr. Sasanka Kumar Dixit, Senior Manager (PR & CSR), TRL Krosaki received the award fromDr. S. P. Gon Chaudhury, President NBIRT and Mission Innovation Champion at Mission Innovation, 2019 and Mr. Keshav Bhajanka, Vice President ICC and Executive Director, Century Polyboards (I) Ltd. in a special award function organised on 12.03.2026 at HotelLalit International, Kolkata. Eminent personalities like, Dr. Rajeev Singh, Director General, ICC and Dr. Kunal Sarkar, Director, Manipal University were also present on the dais during the award function.
This year, over 75 Companies applied for this award and the final selection was done through a 3 tier Assessment Process. Eminent companies like, Utkal Alumina, Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel India, Vesuvius India, ITC, L&T Finance, BALCO, Aditya Birla, etc. have participated in this award function.
Corporate Social Responsibility has been a focused area of TRL Krosaki since its inception. The company aims to makeimpactful CSR Projects in the communities living around its operations who are the key communities for the company. The company has made an application for this award for its project ‘Dristi’ Under Which the company undertakes eye screening, cataract surgery and providing free spectacles to the beneficiariesof Lakhanpur Block of Jharsuguda District.
