Jharsuguda MLA Tankadhar Tripathy lays the foundation stone for projects worth ₹32 crore in Laikera block

Jharsuguda: Today, in the Jharasuguda assembly constituency’s Laikera block, a marathon foundation stone laying ceremony was conducted. Jharasuguda MLA Tankadhar Tripathy inaugurated several projects under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Scheme, his own fund, and the Works Department, including three bridge projects.
The major projects for which the foundation stones were laid today include:
– Renovation of Jagannath Temple in Laikera Panchayat with an expenditure of ₹2.5 lakh,
– Construction of a Kirtan Mandap in Panpali village at a cost of ₹2 lakh,
– Construction of Ramji Temple at Bhatlaida at ₹2.5 lakh,
– Renovation of Shiva Temple at Kankamal village at ₹3 lakh,
– Renovation of Hanuman Temple near Mundrajor Hospital at ₹2.5 lakh,
– Renovation of Siddheshwari Temple at Gambhariguda at ₹2.5 lakh,
– Construction of a Kirtan Mandap at Niktimal village at ₹2.5 lakh,
– Renovation of Samaleswari Temple at Khuntamal at ₹2.5 lakh,
– Construction of a Kirtan Mandap at Mayuradima in Sarangloi Panchayat at ₹2.5 lakh,
– Renovation of Mausima Maa Temple at Sahaspur Panchayat at ₹3 lakh,
– Construction of a Bhagabat Tungi at Shiv Temple in Nandamunda, Pakelpada Panchayat at ₹2 lakh,
– Construction of a community center at Pakelpada at ₹2 lakh,
– Construction of a Krushnaguru Mandap at Nuagaon in Tileimal Panchayat at ₹2.5 lakh,
– Construction of a Kirtan Mandap at Jamamal Panchayat at ₹3 lakh,
– Renovation of Andhari Temple at Babhuchipidi Andharimunda at ₹2.5 lakh,
– Construction of Samalai Temple at Chaumala at ₹2.5 lakh.
Besides these, MLA Tripathy also laid the foundation stones for two high-level bridges:
– One between Sahaspur and Malidihi with an expenditure of ₹12.95 crore and ₹9.17 crore respectively,
– Another on the Saletikra-Bagadihi road with an expenditure of ₹9.78 crore.
He announced that more developmental works will be undertaken in Laikera block in the coming days. Furthermore, under the assistance of the state government, 300 tube wells will be installed in every block of Jharasuguda constituency during drought seasons. There are also plans to renovate ponds with the help of various companies.
Each pond will have proper steps (pahacha) and bathing facilities (gadua ghar) constructed with assistance from MCL (Mahanadi Coalfields Limited).
Additionally, every village in Jharasuguda assembly constituency will soon be equipped with solar lights within the next two to three months.
The program was attended by District Project Officer Bishwaranjan Nayak, BDO George Dungdung, and BJP representatives including Sukanti Jayapuria, Kulamani Kisan, Dutiya Oram, Ramuranjan Mishra, Pankaj Behera, Pradeep Pradhan, Binod Budula, Naveen Budula, Mujilal Dandasena, Kartik Behera, Sagar Dhurua, Rohit Kisan, Nishikant Patel, Sushanta Patel, among others.
