Jharsuguda: The grand concluding ceremony of a 16-hour long Namayagna (chanting of holy names) was held at Mauliberna village under Lakhanpur Gram Panchayat in Lakhanpur Block. Devotees chanted the sacred “Hare Krishna Hare Rama” Mahamantra in unison during the spiritually charged event.
Senior BJD leader Rohit Pradhan and former Zilla Parishad Vice-Chairman Pankajini Pradhan performed the role of Yajnakarta (ritual performer). The Vaishnav duties were undertaken by Manish Bishwal, Sujit Pradhan, Govind Baghar, Bhawani Shankar Pradhan, and Dologobind Bishwal, while the rituals were conducted under the guidance of Alok Tripathy.
Sankirtan groups from Lakhanpur Ashram, Soldia, Kudaloie, Badheipara, Lakhanpur Mandir, Telenpali, Baghmunda, Sagarpali, Beladihi, Kadelpita, and Katarabaga actively participated and chanted devotional songs during the ceremony.
A highlight of the event was the Dadhi Bhanjan ritual, performed amidst thousands of devotees and melodiously led by renowned devotional singer Prasanna Bishwal and team. From across the region, numerous devotees joined the occasion in large numbers.
Volenteers from the Mauliberna Sankirtan Mandali, including Rabichandra Pradhan, Makardhwaj Pradhan, Okil Bishwal, and Roshan Pradhan, played key roles in organizing the event.
Prominent guests who visited the Yagna site and offered their blessings included Lakhanpur Block Chairperson Huteshwari Tihuria, Zilla Parishad Vice-Chairman Akshay Kumar Sahu, Lakhanpur Sarpanch Arati Pradhan, Block Nagarik Parishad Chairman Pitambar Mishra, Jharsuguda District Congress President Subrata Kumar Pradhan, Samiti Member Gunasagar Majhi, former member Abhin Chandra Majhi, and senior Congress leaders Lingaraj Badhei, Purushottam Jayswal, and Mahendra Pradhan.
