Jharsuguda: The East Zone Sports Championship was inaugurated at JSWBPSL by Anil Kumar Singh, President of JSWBPSL/JSW Raigarh/JSW Paradeep. The event brought together around 300 players from eight different locations, including Sambalpur, Raigarh, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Barbil, Sundergarh, and Jajpur, to participate in various sporting events.
The vibrant inaugural ceremony was marked by a colorful display and an impressive march-past by the athletes, which became the highlight of the event. Several dignitaries graced the occasion, including Umesh Rai (COO), Girish Naik (Commercial Head), Vikash Jain (VP), J.P. Singh (VP), Sanjay Kumar (VP), Prakash G (VP) and Jitendra Singh Parihar (AVP), among others.
The championship began with events such as the 100m sprint, 4x100m mixed relay, badminton, and cricket, all starting on the same day. The program was organized by the Sports Committee under the leadership of Manoj Kumar Singh, VP Administration.
This championship aims to foster sportsmanship and camaraderie among participants while showcasing the athletic talents of employees across various JSW locations.
