Jharsuguda : With a view to creating mass awareness among the public, a ‘Walkathon’ on Financial Literacy and Awareness was organized by the Reserve Bank of India, Bhubaneswar Office at Jharsuguda on December 23, 2023. The ‘Walkathon’ started from Axis Bank, Jharsuguda and ended at Sanskruti Bhawan, Jharsuguda and more than 200 participants from different target groups viz., Students, Self Help Groups, Entrepreneurs, Farmers, Senior Citizen etc. participated in the event. The ‘Walkathon’ was followed by a Field Level Financial Literacy Event (FLFLE) where sessions covering financial literacy, Cyber Security, Digital Banking, various types of frauds, exchange facility of soiled and mutilated notes, grievance redressal system in banks, Integrated Ombudsman Scheme of RBI etc. were taken by different officials of Reserve Bank of India, Bhubaneswar. The Deputy General Manager of Reserve Bank of India, Shri Madhukar Anand; CEO, Zilla Parishad of Jharsuguda District, Prabir Kumar Nayak ; Cluster Heads of Axis Bank, Sanjay Das and Manoranjan Mishra, Chief Managers of SBI, Don Bosco and Priyaranjan Panigrahy, Lead District Officer from RBI, Amit Kumar; Lead District Manager of Jharsuguda, Shirapani Naik etc. were present in the meeting.
