BJD Fact Finding Team on Kirmira no confidence incident aimed to cover up internal rift : Bargarh MP Pradeep Purohit

Jharsugdua: Pradeep Purohit, Member of Parliament from Bargarh, claimed that the fact-finding team formed by the BJD regarding the no-confidence election incident in Kirmira Block of Jharsuguda is an attempt to cover up the party’s internal rift.

He stated that the seven-member fact-finding team of BJD reportedly held discussions today at a hotel in Brajrajnagar regarding the no-confidence motion. Supporters of the former MLA from Brajrajnagar have brought forth this motion against the current Chairman, aiming to oust them. This move reportedly reflects the ongoing internal conflict between two former MLAs.

According to Pradeep Purohit, the deployment of such a team is an effort by BJD to mask the infighting. Furthermore, he questioned the involvement of a former Mahanga MLA, who is also accused in a double murder case, in the fact-finding team. He expressed concern over the safety of Jharsuguda residents if such individuals are sent to investigate the matter.

Pradeep Purohit also pointed out that when Deepali Das alleged that her father, the late Naba Das, was murdered by police, how many fact-finding teams were formed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to investigate the incident? He questioned whether the Naveen Pattnaik would ever provide an answer to that query.

Pradeep Purohit concluded by saying that BJD’s attempts to use fear tactics for political gain would ultimately prove ineffective.
