Jharsuguda District Pensioners Association submits memorandum over various demand

Jharsuguda : A protest meeting has been held by the Jharsuguda District EPF Association on the call of the EPF All India Coordination Committee and Odisha EPF Pensioners.

Despite the two recommendations of the Standing Committee of the Supreme Court of the country’s MPs and the promise of the Prime Minister, the central government is not taking any steps to increase the minimum pension of 78 lakh pensioners of the country, more than 2 lakh pensioners of Odisha.

Although the pensioners are getting 1000 to 3000 rupees, no steps are being taken and their families are facing hardship.

In view of this, the monthly pension should be increased by Rs. 1000 and expensive allowances should be included in the free health welfare scheme. A demand letter addressed to the Prime Minister through the Jharsuguda Collector has been handed over to the Jharsuguda Collector. The prominent present in this protest meeting were Jharsuguda District Branch President Ashok Kumar Mahapatra / Vice President Pradeep Kumar Meher / Editor Jitendra Behera / Member Dilip Mishra / Khatu Ram Tanti / Umashankar Saraf / Biranchi Nayak / Bhavani Shankar Ghadial.
