Jharsuguda : IB Thermal Power Station of Odisha Power Generation Corporation Ltd. (OPGC) has won the CII award as Excellent Energy Efficient Unit at the award event for 25th National Award for Excellence in Energy Management organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at Hyderabad, on Thursday. This came as a recognition of best practices for energy efficiency adopted by OPGC at its IB Thermal Power Station located at Banharpali in the district of Jharsuguda, Odisha.
AGM(Electrical) & Head Engineering of OPGC Madhumita Soren, DGM(Operations) Sandeep Sahu, and Manager (Operations) Brajakishore Das Manager represented OPGC at the award event and received the Award. Over 200 industries and companies participated in the event which featured presentations from 24 power plants from across India.
Director (Operations) & MD (Addl. Charge) Manas Ranjan Rout congratulated the OPGC team for achieving this unique feat with the hope that strive for excellence shall continue in future.
