Jharsuguda RTO issues 305 challans and fines over 20 Lakhs from 1st -19th July against Unauthorised Parking, Overloading, Unauthorised Height Projection
Jharsuguda : The Regional Transport Office (RTO) of Jharsuguda, in collaboration with the Badmal police and the Sadar police station, has collected fines amounting to over 20 lakhs during a joint enforcement drive. This initiative targeted unauthorized parking, non-covering of tarpaulin, unauthorized height projection, and overloaded vehicles.
From July 1st to July 19th, 305 challans were issued, resulting in fines totalling ?20,41,530.00 out of which amount, ?3,54,660.00 has already been collected.
The enforcement drive focused on key areas of non-compliance:
- Unauthorized Parking
- Non-covering of Tarpaulin
- Unauthorized Height Projection
- Overloading of Vehicles
This coordinated effort aims to improve road safety and adherence to transport regulations in Jharsuguda. The authorities have warned that such drives will continue to ensure strict compliance and to maintain order on the roads.
