Jharsuguda, May 31, 2024 — A team of 26 athletes including two team managers from Jharsuguda has set off for Bhubaneswar to compete in the 70th State Junior Athletic Meet, scheduled to take place from May 31 to June 3 at KIITS Ground. The team, comprising athletes in the under-14, under-16, and under-18 categories, embarked on their journey by Intercity Express this morning.
Tapas Kumar Roy Choudhury, Ganesh Nayak, Biju Dash, Manas Acharya, Bijay Boxi, Lochan Chhatria, Madhusudan Bag, and others were present to see off the players, offering their best wishes and support for a successful competition.
Team Jharsuguda includes 24 athletes, led by Team Managers Kampandar Behera and Pushpa Sahu. The athletes are eager to showcase their skills and bring laurels to their hometown in this prestigious state-level event.
