Odisha BJP Secretary Tankadhar Tripathy Urges Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to Keep Sarbahal Railway Level Crossing Open and functional

Jharsuguda : In a recent development, the Odisha BJP Secretary Tankadhar Tripathy has addressed a letter to the Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, appealing to keep the Sarbahal Railway Level Crossing open for the convenience of pedestrians and the livelihood of small shopkeepers.

Expressing gratitude for the recent inauguration of Railways Road Over Bridges (ROBs) and Rail Under Bridges (RUBs) in Jharsuguda, the BJP Secretary acknowledged the positive impact these infrastructural developments would have on the region.

However, the letter emphasized a crucial concern raised by the citizens of the district regarding the Sarbahal Railway Level Crossing. The crossing, situated near the Sarbahal Railway Bridge, plays a vital role in connecting both sides of the bridge where it is challenging for pedestrians to cross.

Highlighting the significance of the level crossing, the BJP Secretary, Tankadhar Tripathy pointed out that many small shops, essential for the livelihood of numerous families, are located on both sides of the crossing. The closure of the level crossing would not only pose difficulties for pedestrians but also adversely affect the businesses and livelihoods of these small shopkeepers.
