Jharsuguda : On the occasion of the first death anniversary of the late former Odisha Health Minister Naba Kishore Das, a statue was unveiled near the Jharsuguda SP Office on Monday. The event witnessed the participation of dignitaries, politicians, and citizens alike, coming together to pay their respects to the departed leader.
Jharsuguda MLA Dipali Das, accompanied by her brother Bishal Das, and mother Minati Das took the honour of inaugurating the statue, highlighting the significant role Naba Das played in the health sector and his dedicated service to the people. The unveiling ceremony was a poignant reminder of his contributions for the development of Jharsuguda.
Prior to the statue unveiling, a Mini Marathon was organized in Jharsuguda drawing the participation of thousands of enthusiastic individuals, including children.
Later, Shradhanjali Sabha, a solemn remembrance gathering, took place at Manmohan ME School Ground. The event was attended by numerous prominent figures, including Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari, Rajya Sabha MP Niranjan Bisi, Padampur MLA Barsha Singh Bariha, Talcher MLA Braja Kishore Pradhan and officials from various industries were present. The attendees paid their floral tributes and shared heartfelt memories of the late Minister, recalling his tireless efforts in the field of healthcare and public welfare.
