Ambulance Overturns on National Highway Due to Reckless Tractor Driving

Jharsuguda: A 108 ambulance met with an accident on National Highway 49 near Sadar police station due to the rash driving of a tractor driver. The incident took place at around 1 p.m., leaving the ambulance driver, a child, and her mother injured.

The ambulance, which was on its way to the district headquarters hospital, overturned after the tractor driver, who was driving in front of the ambulance, applied sudden brakes. As a result, the ambulance driver, Gourang Sahu, lost control of the vehicle, and it overturned. Lakhanpur’s child, Arpan Kaur, and her mother, who were passengers in the ambulance, sustained injuries in the accident.

The Sadar police station saved them, and they received treatment at the district headquarters hospital. The Sadar police station arrived at the scene and seized both the ambulance and the tractor.

An investigation has been initiated into the incident, and the tractor driver, who had initially fled the scene, was apprehended by locals and handed over to the police.

The injured are currently undergoing treatment at the district headquarters hospital, and their condition is reported to be stable.

The police are further investigating the case to determine the exact cause of the accident and take appropriate action against the tractor driver.
