Jharsuguda : Three people died in a tragic incident after they were hit by an unknown vehicle near Gaurpada Square under Belpahar police limits in Jharsuguda on Monday morning. The trio died on the spot. Their identity is yet to be ascertained.
As per reports, three people were riding on a bike when the mishap occurred on National Highway 49 connecting Belpahar and Lakhanpur.
While the exact reason for the mishap is unclear, it is suspected that dense fog conditions and over-speeding might have caused the mishap.
Tension prevailed in the area following the mishap.
Police have reached the spot and launched a probe to ascertain the involvement of the vehicle that caused the accident.
