Jharsuguda :�A Leopard has been sighted at the dense Pikol Forest in the Belpahar Forest Range of Lakhanpur Block in Jharsuguda District.� This was spotted on 14th December in the trap camera set up by the forest department.
Jharsuguda Divisional Forest Officer Manu Ashok Bhat said, �A leopard was spotted on 14th December morning inside the dense Pikol forest in a trap camera set up by the forest department.�Habitual leopard movement in the area has been reported in previous years, possibly traveling from the Sundargarh forest division.�However, the leopard is not known to enter human habitation. Patrolling has been increased in the nearby village areas to keep track of the leopard.�
