Jharsuguda: The Headmaster of Machida High School in Lakhanpur Block has been suspended for five days due to his unauthorised absence from the school premises during scheduled working hours. The headmaster has been absent from duty since the 24th of this month.
During a public grievance hearing in Chantipali, a complaint was lodged against the District Magistrate regarding the Headmaster’s absence. Upon receiving the complaint, the district magistrate instructed the district education officer to conduct an inspection at the school.
The district education officer’s inspection confirmed the headmaster’s absence. Subsequently, the Headmaster’s salary has been withheld for the last 24 days, and he has been suspended for five days in addition to the salary forfeiture.
This disciplinary action serves as a reminder to all school staff of their responsibility to fulfil their duties diligently and adhere to the prescribed working hours.
