Jharsuguda Ophthalmologist Receive Award for Conducting Highest Number of Cataract Surgeries
Jharsuguda: Dr. Nivedita Guru, an ophthalmologist at the District Headquarters Hospital in Jharsuguda, was bestowed with a certificate of appreciation by the Government of Odisha for executing the maximum number of cataract surgeries during 2022-23 in a peripheral hospital.
The accolade was conferred during a state-level gathering on World Sight Day, which is commemorated on October 12 every year. Dr. Guru is among only three ophthalmologists in the state to have received this honor.
