Eye Screening Programme for Student of Jhadeswari Special School
Jharsuguda: The District Head Quarter Hospital (DHQ) organised an eye screening programme for students of Jhadeswari Special School for the Visually Impaired, Deaf, and Mental in Buromal, Budapada.
Ophthalmologist Dr. Nivedita Guru, Ophthalmologist Assistant Parameswar Naik, and Soumya Prakash Naik participated in the programme and examined the eyes of 115 students. They also distributed glucose and biscuits to the students.
Dr. Guru said that glasses will be provided to students who need them, and arrangements will be made for the surgery of children with cataracts. She also thanked the school founder, secretary, special educators, and staff for their cooperation.
Principal Namita Nath gave a vote of thanks to Dr. Guru and the DHQ head for organising the program. She said that the programme will help to improve the eye health of the students and their quality of life.
