Jharsuguda: Congress Launches Campaign to Expose BJP and BJD Lies
Jharsuguda: The Odisha Congress Party has launched a campaign to expose the BJP and Biju Janata Dal governments for lying to the people. The campaign, which will run from September 25 to October 25, is aimed at alerting the people before the general and assembly elections.
As part of the campaign, Congress workers will go door-to-door, distributing leaflets and talking to people about the problems they are facing. On September 26, Congress workers distributed leaflets in Wards No. 14 and 16 of Jharsuguda Municipal Area.
The leaflets highlight a number of issues, including poor health services, a lack of local employment, problems faced by farmers, and the need for cold storage and warehouses in every block. The leaflets also call for land to be provided to the landless and concessional facilities to be given to senior citizens.
Congress district president Siyaram Das was in charge of the campaign. Tarun Pandey, Prashant Tripathi, Mataraj Dung, Alekh Kumar Dekhananda Barik, Punyaban Nayak, Sanjay Mahapatra, Sanyasi Patel Shankar Das, Dev Swain, Rajesh Bagh, Kishore Buda Gouri, Omprakash Thakkar, Abhijit Deep, Anbar, and many other Congress workers were present at the event.
The Congress party is hoping that the campaign will help it win back the support of the people in Odisha. The party has been out of power in the state since 2000.
