Jharsuguda Sadar Police busted a fake job recruitment racket and arrested 6 people
Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda Sadar Police on Saturday busted a fake job recruitment racket and arrested 6 people involved in this racket.
Police identified the accused as Kuberkanta Parida (44) resident of Puri, Suvendu Thatoi (22), a resident of Bhadrak, Satyajit Ratha (25), a resident of Bhadrak, Chandan Mishra (23), resident of Bhadrak, Santosh Dash (21), Resident of Bhadrak and Debashish Kandi (20) resident of Puri.
As per police officials, On 13th September a complaint was filed by one Niranjan Khara, a resident of Atalguda of Malkangiri district regarding getting cheated by accused Santosh along with his associates by giving false assurance to provide Jobs in Plastic or Steel Industries. For which the accused had taken Rs.12,000 from him. Similarly, the accused and his associates had taken money from a large number of unemployed youths of different states and districts of Odisha to provide jobs.
However, During the investigation, it came to light that, the accused had arranged a rented hours at H. Kantapali, BTM, Housing Board Area and kept the job aspirants in the name of providing Training. They used to take Rs. 6000 up to Rs. 12,000 from various candidates. They have also kept these unemployed youths in unhygienic conditions and usually don�t allow them to interact with any outside person. This is an organized racket looting money from innocent youths in mass. Investigation is still going on to verify the involvement of the other persons involved in this. Police have recused 165 candidates from different districts of the state.
Police have also seized one Dell Laptop, 4 Mobiles, One Epson Colour Printer, 150 Nos. of Handwritten Copies, and around 550 nos. of Candidate registration forms
