Jharsuguda : Jharsuguda Sadar Police on Friday arrested four burglars and recovered Silver and gold ornaments worth Rs. 5 Lakhs which were stolen from a Jewellery shop on Thursday.
Police identified the accused as Gurudev Kumar Mandal (24), Raja Khan (21), Rohan Suna (23) and Alne Rahul Rao (18), all resident of Railway Colony, Jharsuguda
As per police sources, On 24th August, a complainant Gobind Swarnakar (49), owner of one Maa Tarini Jewellers of Ekatali Ward No. 5, Sadar Police Station, Jharsuguda alleged that, on 23rd and 24th August 2023 night, an unknown committed theft of silver items like Payal, Neck Chain, Dindiya, finger ring etc. and gold ornaments like gold nose flower by breaking open the lock of the locker and entrance door of his shop. Subsequently, conducted a raid arrested the involved accused persons, and recovered the stolen silver and gold ornaments.
Police have seized all the stolen Silver Ornaments (Payal, Jhutia, etc.) around 5.5 Kg, and one red color Hero Pleasure Scooty Regd. No. OD-23 E -0579.
