Jharsuguda: The Odisha government has sanctioned interest-free loans for Mission Shakti Federation leaders and Community Support Staff (CSS) to buy scooters. The loans have been sanctioned under the “Mission Shakti Department Mo Scooter Yojana”.
The first phase of the scheme has seen 16 community step implementers sanction loans for women’s SSG empowerment. The loans will be used to buy scooters for the Federation Leaders and CSS, who will use them to travel to remote villages and provide services to women.
The scheme is aimed at improving the mobility of Federation Leaders and CSS and helping them better serve the women of Odisha. It is also a recognition of the contribution of these women towards women’s empowerment.
The loans were sanctioned by the Sambalpur District Cooperative Central Bank Limited (SDCC Bank) Jharsuguda Branch on August 23, 2023. The event was attended by Mr. Jay Prakash Kunar, Director and Chairman of SDCC Bank Jharsuguda Branch; Mr. Amulyananda Mohanty, CEO of the Bank; Rosalin Bagh, Branch Manager of the Bank; and Susikta Mohanty Magar, Block Project Sanjojika (Mission Shakti).
The “Mission Shakti Department Mo Scooter Yojana” is a welcome step by the Odisha government to improve the mobility of Federation Leaders and CSS and help them better serve the women of the state. The scheme is also a recognition of the contribution of these women towards women’s empowerment.
