Cultural Enthusiasts Gather in Jharsuguda to Celebrate Sambalpuri Day

Jharsuguda: The Paschimanchal Ekata Manch, Jharsuguda organized Drawing and Kavi Sammelani on the occasion of Sambalpuri Day (August 1)� on the occasion of Guru Satya Narayan Bohidar’s birth anniversary. The event was held at the Government High School in Sarabahal and was attended by over 150 people, including poets, artists, and cultural enthusiasts.

The highlight of the event was a Sambalpuri poets’ conference, which was attended by 55 poets and poetesses. The poets recited Sambalpuri’s poetry on a variety of topics, including love, nature, and social justice.

A drawing competition was also held as part of the event. The competition was divided into sub-junior, junior, and senior categories and was open to all ages. The contestants were given a choice of three topics to draw: a Sambalpuri landscape, a Sambalpuri festival, or a Sambalpuri folktale.

The winners of the drawing competition were awarded prizes and certificates. The event was a great success and helped promote the Sambalpuri language, culture, and tradition.
