Jharsuguda : Jharsuguda SP Smith P. Parmar Showed the human face of policing , when he helped three injured women and took them to hospital on his official vehicle. His action has earned a admires from the locals
Sources said on Thursday, around 3:30 pm, Jharsuguda SP Smith P. Parmar was travelling from Beheramal towards Jharsuguda Sadar Town Police Station on his official vehicle, when he witnessed an accident near BTM (Bhaskar Textile Mill) area. Where a Bolero Vehicle had hit an Alto Car in which three ladies were travelling along with a driver, who were travelling to Sambalpur. Due to collision all three ladies had sustains injuries
Without wasting any time, Smith P. Parmar got out and carried all the injured women on his vehicle and took them to Jharsuguda District Headquarter Hospital and also coordinate with doctors for their treatment.
Among the injured were Smita Pattnaik (56), Sneha Lata Pattnaik (48) who sustain major fracture injury, while Sweta Pattnaik (28) sustain minor injury. They were returning back to Sambalpur from VSS Airport. All the injured are said to be stable.
Sweta Pattnaik, the victim said, “As soon as our car met with an accident, Jharsuguda SP sir who was also passing by, had stopped his car and took all of us including, me, my mother and my aunt on his vehicle and brought us to Jharsuguda Dist. Headquarter Hospital. I am very thankful to him for this kind help.”
“My wife Smita Pattnaik and my daughter Sweta Pattnaik and my sister Sneha lata Pattnaik were coming from Jharsuguda to Sambalpur and on their way met with an accident near BTM at Jharsuguda, in which all three got injured, I am very grateful that Jharsuguda SP Smith P Parmar who was passing by had stopped and personally took all of them on his vehicle to Jharsuguda District Headquarter Hospital and coordinated with doctors, it speaks about the great humanity. I just want to thank him.” Said Dr. Bijay Pattnaik, husband of victim Smita Pattnaik
“In spite being an SP of the district, he came to rescue of the injured, he showed a great character and humanity. It will surely inspire others.” Said a local resident Sanjay Panigrahi
