Jharsuguda : OPGC celebrated NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY on 15th–16th December 2022 at IB Thermal Power Station, Banaharpali with the objective of highlighting the importance of energy consumption and its use in our day-to-day life, its scarcity and its impact on the sustainability of global ecosystems. During this event several events were organized at IB thermal Power Station to create awareness on Energy conservation amongst employees, their spouses and school students of ITPS Township. Events such as Slogan Competition, Painting competition, Quiz Competition on the theme of Energy Conservation were organized which saw a large participation from OPGC employees, contractor workers, school students and ladies. Winners of such competitions were rewarded by Director (Operation) Manas Ranjan Rout in a special function held here today.
In appreciation of its achievements in energy conservation in Thermal Power Plant category, OPGC was conferred with an Award of Appreciation on the eve of National Energy Conservation Day on 14th December at Bhubaneswar. This award was given jointly by Department of Energy, Office of Engineer-in-Chief-cum-PCEI and Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India.
