Jharsuguda : Vigilance Officials caught a Junior Engineer of Lakhanpur Block while accepting a bribe in Lakhanpur area under Jharsuguda district.
After a complainat filed by a Contrator , regarding Tikinaht Bhainsal, ajunior Engineer in Lakhanpur Block was demanding a bribe of Rs. 50,000 to facilitate a payment for the pending bills, after hwihc vigilance laid a trap.
As per the plan, the contrator had paid Rs. 25,000 as first installment of the bribe to the junior engineer . While Bhainsal was receiving the amount , the vigilance caught him red handed .
In this regard, Rourkela vigilance has filed a case in this connection under PC amendment act 2018 and further investigation is on.
