Jharsuguda : More than 10 armed masked miscreants looted cash and other electrical items worth more than 1 lakh from Tata Power Western Odisha Distribution Ltd. (TPWODL) 33/11KV Grid Sub Station in Bandhbahal in the wee hours of Sunday.
As per the report, On Saturday late night, at 12:30 pm more than 10 armed masked miscreants had entered the (TPWODL) 33/11KV Grid Sub Station of Bandhbahal and had started thrashing the employees present inside the grid and threatening them by showing them gun and knives. They then looted around 11 mobile phones, cash, and electrical items including the coil of a transformer, and fled away from the spot. They had also beaten one employee on the head who sustained minor injuries and got treated in local hospital. “
Priya Ranjan Mallick, an employee of TPWODL Gird Sub Station, “ We had been doing duty on the Gird Sub station when more than 10 people had come inside the grid showing Knives and gave life-threatening and had started thrashing us with sticks. They had pushed us into a room. Other miscreants were busy stealing items. They had taken away all mobiles present with us. We were very frightened. They had been present inside this room for nearly 2 hours. They were always showing guns and were giving life-threatening. They had also taken a bike of our employeeâ€
After learning about the incident, Bandhbahal police reached the spot and started the investigation, and launched a manhunt to nab the miscreants.
