Bhumipujan done for construction of a Jagannath Temple at Remenda Village


Remenda village of Jharsuguda district is known as the Sampradaik Sadbhab ra srikhetra ( village of Communal Harmony ), where the Rath Yatra establishes a unique tradition where the Muslim Gauntia of the villages perform Cherpahara during the Jagannath Rath Yatra, and this tradition has been going on for centuries. Only then there is a Rath Yatra in the villages for centuries, but the temple of Lord Jagannath was not there in the village. Today Bhumipujan of the Jagannath Temple and Mandap has been done, in the hands of Jharsuguda District Magistrate Saroj Kumar Samal. For the construction of Temple
Mahanadi Coalfields Limited has provided a grant of Rs.15 lakh from its CSR funds. Jharsuguda District Collector Saroj Samal attended this program as the chief guest, while Gantia Mohammad Jaminllah, and his other family members Mohammad Rauf and Mehboob Mahatab, Lakhanpur Tahsildar, Lakhanpur BDO, Hiralal Lokchandani of Jharsuguda Merchants association Jharsuguda, Balgobind Mishra of senior citizen forum of Jharsuguda, Purnachandra Behera, Gobardhan Behera, Radhakanta Majhi, Janmajaye Dhurua were present.
