Two new Kendra Vidyalaya’s  will be set up in Western Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Two new Kendriya Vidyalaya’s will be set up in Sundargarh and Angul districts. Mahanadi Coal Field (MCL) Board has approved the establishment of the two schools. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan thanked Union Minister for Coal and Mines Prahlad joshi for this step.

Last year, in the month of September, Union Minister Pradhan wrote a letter to Union Coal and Mines Minister Prahlad Joshi on the basis of letters from Sundargarh MP Jual Oram, Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari and Dhenkanal MP Mahesh Sahu, seeking Kendriya Vidyalayas.

He urged, MCL to personally intervene to set up three Kendriya Vidyalayas in Sundergarh, Jharsuguda and Angul districts. In his letter, Mr. Pradhan said that the students of these district will surely be benefitted from this.

However, in a letter to Union Minister  Pradhan, joshi said that the MCL Board has approved the establishment of one Kendriya Vidyalaya in Bashundhara in Sundargarh district and one in Jagannath and Subhadra areas of Angul district.

With the establishment of Kendriya Vidyalaya in this mining area, students will be able to get quality education and meet the aspirations of the locals.
