Spicejet Airlines launches direct flight services for Patna from VSS Airport, Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda :�SpiceJet�Airlines on Saturday launched its direct flight connectivity with Patna from Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Airport.
On the inaugural flight of SpiceJet, around 16 passengers arrived from Patna while around 39 passengers including 31 passengers for Patna and 8 passengers for Guwahati departed from VSS Airport, Jharsuguda
As per the report the flight arrived Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Airport from Patna at 16:20 pm and then departed back to Patna at 16:40 pm.
Jharsuguda Airport Director Kishore Kumar Senapati said, � It�s a 78 seater and 50 % seat occupancy was present today, you can see due to covid, the load factor of passengers have been affected but I will assure you that in VSS Airport, we have taken all precautionary steps so that air passenger can safely travel from this airport.�
�I am coming for the first time through this flight. It has taken only one hour only. Earlier, I use to come by train only but this flight service has made us convenient for me to come to Jharsuguda after this air, even the price is reasonably affordable� said Anmol Singh , Air Traveller coming from Patna
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted and said that �Welcome the commencement of flight operations by Spicejet from Veer Surendra Sai Airport, Jharsuguda on new routes connecting Jharsuguda to Amritsar and Guwahati via Patna from today. Daily flight services to major destinations from Jharsuguda will further boost air connectivity for people in western Odisha. Flight operations from Jharsuguda airport started on March 31, 2019. Presently, SpiceJet operates flight from Jharsuguda to cities like New Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Chennai. While Alliance Air, a subsidiary of Air India, connects to Kolkata, Raipur and Bhubaneswar.
