Brajrajnagar police seized 114 nos. of fake Indian currency worth Rs. 57,000 from a railway employee
Jharsuguda : Brajrajnagar Police on Tuesday seized 114 nos. of fake Indian currency notes worth Rs. 57,000 from a 32 years old Railway employee working at Brajrajnagar Railway Station.
Police identified the accused as Raman Kumar Rajak (32), a resident of Qr. No. 193/1, Railway Colony Shahdol, of Madhya Pradesh, working as a railway employee at Brajrajnagar Railway Station and living at a rented accommodation at Chandi Chowk under Brajrajnagar police station.
As reported, on getting reliable inputs from various sources, Brajrajnagar police had conducted a raid at the rented accommodation of the accused Raman, during the search in presence of house owner and another witness, one black color Air bag containing 114 nos. of fake Indian currency notes of Rs. 500 denomination were seized, out of 52 nos. of notes were having the same number i.e., 5PB417784 and 62 nos. of notes having a same number of 8TN157210.
During investigation it has come to light that the accused has got these fake currencies from Bilaspur and has a link with Nagpur of Maharashtra.
Jharsuguda SP Bikash Ch. Das said, �Yesterday, Brajrajnagar police arrested a railway employee and seized 114 nos. of fake Indian currency notes from his rented house at Brajrajnagar. As per investigation, the accused railway employee had various loans for which he got involved in this crime and came in contact with people bringing the fake notes through Nagpur via Bilaspur. Brajrajnagar police registered a case while he will be forwarded to court, we are expecting to nab more accuses involve in this case.�
